“You know those appointments that you have that you just absolutely dread? A visit you have scheduled at Rehabilitation Institute (now Prosthetic Solutions) is nothing like that because it’s not one of those typical, run of the mill appointments. It’s more like a reunion with family or close friends.
I am 40 years old and I had my leg amputated when I was about 18 months old. I received my first prosthesis when I was 2 years old and I met Jim Goff when I was 4. I have looked up to him and considered him family ever since. He has been there for me through it all and I am not just talking about the artificial leg. We have exchanged many hugs over the years. Just imagine my excitement when I found out that his son was taking a part in the business! I am also a huge fan of Jeff, who I have known for years and the ladies in the office are fantastic as well.
Everyone treats you like gold at this place. As soon as you set foot in the building, you will be taken care of. You just can’t go wrong with this group of people no matter what stage you are at as an amputee. Some of them can honestly say they have been where you are and they will do all that they can to help you get through any situation you may have. I travel a long distance to the office and even if a prosthetic company was built within 5 miles of my home I would still make the journey to Rehabilitation Institute (now Prosthetic Solutions) for the care, friendliness and excellent service that they provide.”
“I first met Jim Goff at another prosthetic shop in the early 1970’s. Jim has been the only person to make my prosthesis since then. I trust Jim to make a correct fit with minor adjustments , and it all seems to work as I have gone as many as 12 years with one prosthesis with few adjustments. My last prosthesis lasted 6 years. I am amazed at the current technology and the progress that has been made since leaving the Army in 1970. I am still “Old School” with wool socks and knee strap, but Jim’s suggestion of an updated foot has made a big difference in my gait. I appreciate the great service I receive from Rehabilitation Institute of Indianapolis. Jim has the knowledge and experience to make you feel at ease. Dana is always so friendly and helpful. The entire staff is accommodating and willing to help (they actually know what they are doing). I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else.”
“I can’t say enough about the Rehabilitation Institute (now Prosthetic Solutions). As a disabled veteran it was a God send to find another veteran with the same disability who was an expert in prosthetics. Jim and I connect on a different level. Jim experiences the same problems with his own prostheses so he knows what his customers feel first hand. He build’s what he experiences into every prosthetic he creates. I have known Jeff Hartley since the early 1980’s. He has the ability to tweak a hotspot and get me going pain free in the shortest time possible. Jim and Jeff keep me on the cutting edge of prosthetic technology and every new creation is “the most comfortable leg I have ever had”. I know that Jim Jr the new office manager and owner will continue the great service along with his staff and that I will continue to be well served whenever I appear unannounced at the Rehabilitation Institute Of Indianapolis (now Prosthetic Solutions).”
“If you need an “after market” leg, you have come to the right place.
Only God makes legs better than Jim, Dave and Jeffrey.
Believe me, you can trust them, I should know.”
“The Rehab Institute of Indianapolis (now Prosthetic Solutions) is a very professional organization that you can tell really cares. I have been a client off and on for over 30 years and have always been satisfied with their work. I had a new right leg prosthesis built last year and I wanted to try some new technology that was available. They were more than willing to think outside the box to come up with the right combination of hardware to fit my needs. I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends, family or even complete strangers!”
“I have been under the care of the Rehab Institute (now Prosthetic Solutions) for many years and appreciate the care and attention I have received. I know when I come in for an appointment I will always be well taken care of. The entire staff clearly takes pride in their work and patient support by ensuring my prosthetic needs are met. I highly recommend their services.”
“For me, Rehabilitation Institute (now Prosthetic Solutions) is like visiting family. They treat you with warm smiles and say hello. They do whatever they can to make you comfortable. They take pride in their work and do what they can to make your prosthesis fit comfortable for you. One time I called them on a Saturday evening while on vacation and they were able to tell me what to do to fix my prosthesis. Because of these little things, I recommend them to everyone that I know. Thanks to everyone at Rehabilitation Institute (now Prosthetic Solutions) for all you do.”
“At age 25 I was in a car/train accident. I suffered burns over sixty percent of my body and both hands had to have amputations.
I met Jim Goff while still in the hospital. The kindness he showed me and the care he took with me then made me know he was a special person. I also knew that I wanted him involved with whatever was going to happen to my hands! Twenty-five years later he is still there for me!
Everyone at Rehabilitation Institute (now Prosthetic Solutions) is great. They treat me professionally, with respect, and best of all kindness. They really are like family.
The one thing that stands out about Rehabilitation Institute (now Prosthetic Solutions) is that I don’t WANT to go anywhere else. Without the great care I receive there, I would truly be helpless. They strive to help me be as independent as possible. I would like to thank them all for their help over the years!(Especially Jim and Jeff)”
“I started at another Prosthetic shop and they could never get my leg right. Rehab Institute (now Prosthetic Solutions) was one of the VA choices. I decided to try them and have been there ever since.
Rehab Institute (now Prosthetic Solutions) was able to fabricate a new leg that has worked very well for me.
The people here are excellent. I even have been a “model” for Rehabilitation Institute of Indianapolis (now Prosthetic Solutions) through the VA using the new Motion Control foot. I love the foot when walking down ramps, etc. It allows me to put my foot down flat. That helps a lot when I travel.
I am truly impressed with Rehabilitation Institute (now Prosthetic Solutions). Whenever I have an immediate need, they always find a way to fit me in.”
“When you experience a traumatic amputation the world of prosthetics is unknown. The selection of a prosthetist is generally made by the orthopedist and insurance company and you don’t question it. At least in the beginning you don’t question it.
I learned to walk on a painful, ill-fitting leg; however, the more progress PT said I was making, the longer the list grew of things the prosthetist said I could not do with a prosthetic leg. When I did return to work, part of my routine consisted of a near daily trip by the prosthetics office to have my leg adjusted. At one point I was told that a ‘prosthetic should only be worn eight hours a day’ and that ‘most aren’t pain-free.’ Despite all of the newspaper clippings, plaques and other accolades hanging on the walls, I was becoming very skeptical.
On-line research led me to the Rehabilitation Institute (now Prosthetic Solutions) and I haven’t looked back. The positive attitude of the staff at the Rehab Institute is contagious. My prosthetist here built a leg for me that didn’t hurt all day. As a matter of fact, I don’t leave the facility if the fit isn’t comfortable. I also never hear what I ‘can’t’ do… whatever necessary is done to adapt my prosthesis so that I ‘can’ do everything I want to do. What a difference this company has made in my life!”
